The Coal Utilization Reseach Council (CURC) co-sponsored a Congressional briefing with the American Coalition for Clean Coal Electricity (ACCCE), American Public Power Association (APPA), and the United Mine Workers of America (UMWA) that focused on the legal and regulatory frameworks that will be needed in order to ensure the successful deployment of carbon capture and deep geological sequestration (CCS) of CO₂ in the United States.
